Ferry Bookings, part of the BTL Group, relaunches its brand

2023.01.16

Ferry Bookings, a BTL Group company engaged in the transport of freight by ferries, bridges, tunnels, and trains, has relaunched its brand. The company, which has been in business for more than eight years, is not only renewing its visual identity through change, but is also focusing on  customer experience. A revamped website, improved customer service and ambitious plans for the Mediterranean are all steps towards the company’s expansion.

Ferry Bookings started more than eight years ago. As Arnoldas Bendaravičius, the company’s commercial manager, tells us, the company has grown from a handful of routes to a major player in a relatively short time, not only in our region, but also in Europe: “We are part of the BTL Group, so we started out with the trust and familiarity of our clients, but it is only through consistent work and  high quality standard that we now have thousands of clients in 25 countries. Today, I can say that we are a strong player in Europe, so the brand relaunch and the increasing digitalisation of our processes was a targeted step to expand not only in existing markets but also in new ones.”

Modern design that reflects values

“The brand we have used since the company’s founding is not only morally outdated, but also does not reflect our identity. We are professional and dynamic, so we wanted the new logo to have a minimalist design, a clear structure, be easy to recognise and reflect our values.

Ferry Bookings operates in many countries, so we wanted to maintain a clean, modern design that would be easily recognisable not only at home but also in other markets,” says Bendaravičius.

Key focus on good user experience

Speaking about the relaunched website, the commercial manager emphasised that the main objectives of the website were process optimisation, digitalisation, real-time information and a high-quality, easy-to-manage, accurate self-service area, as well as 24/7 customer service.

“Ferry Bookings is very specific, and the information is constantly changing. Changes to routes and timetables are a daily routine. Our aim is to optimise and digitalise processes so that we can maintain stability in changing situations. On the updated Ferry Bookings website, we have put in place systems that allow us to manage, organise and provide customers with the right information in real time. Of course, our in-house specialists play a big role in this process, constantly assessing situations, sharing insights, and adjusting plans as needed to ensure that the work runs smoothly.

We value cooperation with each and every one of our customers, which is why we are still available 24/7. We do not leave our customers in the dark, whether our cooperation lasts a few years or a few days.”

Technology is not enough to achieve the goals

While Bendaravičius mentions the importance of digitalisation when talking about the renewed brand, he stresses that without a motivated, strong, and entrepreneurial team, top results would not be achieved.

“The Ferry Bookings team is very strong, with flexible, dynamic, entrepreneurial and adaptable professionals who are able to adapt to fast-changing situations. We are liberal and democratic, so decisions are taken by consensus. We strive to provide a good microclimate and to communicate both in the event of successes and in the event of setbacks. Working with a team like this means that we have enjoyed year-on-year growth since the company was founded: in 2021 we had 70% growth and in 2022 we had 40% growth.”

Ambitious future plans

“As I said, the brand and website relaunch was also important for expansion in new regions. The Mediterranean Sea is one of them. We have already established a strong presence in the region and our plan for the next 5 years is to become the market leader. Mediterranean ports are a strategic destination with a lot of potential, as shipping and port traffic is very intensive there.

The southern working principle is characterised by a longer and more complex booking process. Our goal is not only to establish a branch, but also to optimise and digitalise processes in the market,” – Arnoldas Bendaravičius, commercial manager of Ferry Bookings, said about the relaunched brand and the future plans.
